The Sun Is Always Warmer When You Can Feel It - Pt. 3

After lunch, we flew to Kenya.

Things went from intriguing to slightly concerning.

We lost Caleb to a manhunting lion, Angela was imprisoned by a roving band of natives because she got angry and punched the chief because she didn't like his sandals, Tiera fell into a river and was eaten by piranha, and I was forced to float down-river, my wrists bound and ankles tied due to Angela's earlier insensitivity.

Then I saw a car go by with a bumper sticker about global warming plastered on it.

And I knew I was still in California.

Spruce Street Suspension Bridge was killer.

You literally went from houses and sidewalks, turned a corner and there it was.

Like a hidden Chipotle right between a McDonald's and a Burger King.

When we grew tired of hearing the screams of those walking by as we violently shook the bridge, we headed home to see if we could help with the Mexican feast that Mom was preparing for us.

FYI ground turkey tacos are way better than ground beef tacos.

Thanks, Mom.

Celebrating the day and good food the Lord had blessed us with, we cleaned up the dinner dishes and set out to Old Town San Diego.

During our lovely walk through the old town streets, cemetery, and historic houses, we discovered many uses for our scarves.

Not only do they keep your neck warm, and are useful for smacking people with, they're also handy when you need to tie someone to the burning stake.

We were driving around, and as fate would have it, I had to pull over to administer some advanced discipline and order keeping to one of my female passengers. While I was verbally battling,  Caleb starts exclaiming loudly and pointing out the window, leapt from the car and ran off.

It wasn't until I looked up that I was dumbfounded.

There was an aircraft carrier sitting not 200 yards away.

Saturday was going to be the big day; LA, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, the beach, and meeting up with friends.

I knew it was going to shape up to be simply smashing when at the start of our drive the next day, what do we see, but a ROLLS CULLINAN.

JUST CRUISIN' DOWN THE HIGHWAY LIKE IT WAS NO BIG THING.

You can't even buy these yet.

(pardon the through the window picture)

*rolls eyes*

Only in California.
